Why Hindutva

There is no other concept or word which has been mis-read, mis-quoted and mis-conceived as the word Hindutva. ‘Sickulars’ and ‘Paid-Media’ try to and is still trying to white-wash it as an ideology similar to that of communal and racist organisation like KKK, Nazi and Muslim Jihadi organisations like Al-queda. Given the ‘Dharmic’ nature of Hinduism which abhors wanton violence and that to in the name of religion, it is a truly a secular religion, compared to other major religions. Even after being attacked, conquered and plundered by Muslim and Christian rulers, it still grows in strength and stood the test of time.

This strength is derived from the individual factor called Hindutva or “Culture Nationalism of Hindus” as quoted by Deen Dayal Upadyaya the modern Hindu thinker and the founding father of BJP. This is something which was grudgingly admitted by Jawaharlal Nehru in his work ‘Glimpses of World History’ as some 'invisible silken bond' that unites this country. Nehru being the father of all pseudo-seculars in this country has hid the real fact that it is because of Hindutva, inspite of its various diversity, India is strongly united, and not because of some false sense of ‘Secularism’.

It is the age-old principle of Hindutva, which makes the people of this country tolerant towards other religion, even if they tend to be hostile in nature. It is for this practical reason that Sangh Parivar including BJP strive hard for Hindutva to be binding force behind all the political, economical and cultural landscape. The concept of Secularism which is foreign to India will only destroy this country as it is doing now. Even the secularism as seen practiced by ‘sickularists’ in this country, is not true to its meaning or sense. Now that’s a topic for another blog!

After the heartbreaking partition in 1947, many attempts to break this country in the name of religion, language or other ethnic diversity was defeated. Be it ‘Khalistan’ sponsored by Pakistan ISI, or the same attempt made in Tamil Nadu for Dravdian movement, as in Andhra, Karnataka, Kerala, and in North-East which was financed by foreign Christian missionaries, withered as time went by. Time again it’s been proved that benevolent, nationalistic and tolerant Hindutva spirit always prevails over narrow, dogmatic and anti-national Islamic and Christian fundamentalists.

Hindutva or Hinduism is not against any religion; but teaches its followers to respect and accept people of other faith with open-heart. As Swami Vivekananda said in his memorable speech in 1893 at Parliament of the World's Religions

“I am proud to belong to a religion which has taught the world both tolerance and universal acceptance. We believe not only in universal toleration, but we accept all religions as true.”

Hindu Dharma never tried to force its religion on other people of faith. It detests proselytization and believes that every religion is a path to the ultimate God, who is omnipresent. Prior to Islamic and Christian advent there were no minority issues in this country. It is with the Muslim invasion and the subsequent British Raj that conversion was made either through coercion or monetary benefits. That’s the reason why Hinduism still considers these ‘converts’ as one among them and not foreign to India. Pakistan was created when some of these converts opined that their roots lie elsewhere in middle-east not in India. Such a falsity only produces failed state like Pakistan with results everyone can see!

What the ‘secularists’ and so-called ‘intellectuals’, who have taken over the job of deriding and debasing Hindu religion from their British Imperial masters, failed to see is that, but for Hindutva this country would never have been a free and democratic for so many years. Nehruvian ‘Secularism’ has made this country spiritually bankrupt; his ‘Socialism’ has made it financially bankrupt; and his personalised ‘state policies’ have left this country weak and decadent. Nehru-Gandhi family which ruled this country for better part of the independent India had followed up on the ‘unfinished business’ British Raj in trying to subvert and destroy Hinduism from land of its birth. They were avidly supported by Leftist and left-leaning ‘intellectuals’ in this cause.

The main objective of Hindutva is to overturn this adverse and negative effects caused by pseudo-secularism, minority appeasement and Leftist thoughts, and to bring in the age-old wisdom of Hindu dharma in the form of Hindutva and with it the all the benefits this country has got for centuries. It is the culture of Hindutva which prevents the minorities, in particular Muslims in this country to live in cordial relationship with majority Hindus. This inspite of the fact that world is threatened by militant Islamic fundamentalism emanating from neighbouring Pakistan. Hindutva emphasises the common cultural bondage among all Indians to keep this country united and strong.

What BJP and RSS are trying to do is bring in this concept of Hindutva to unite all Indians of different caste, creed, religion and linguistic affiliation, in establishing a strong and vibrant India. In doing so it will make our countrymen to work together in building this nation into a benevolent Superpower, unlike the de facto superpowers who are ruthless and predatory in nature. Hindutva shall help India to ascertain its position among nations and show the world how to lead passively and purposefully.
